Luca wasn’t really sure how, why or what had happened, all he knew now was that he was very small, well, smaller than he already was anyway. Only about three inches tall, in the walls of a place that rumbled and quaked with footsteps of… what Luca guessed were giants.
He wandered around this place, trying not to be seen, or crushed for that matter, scooting up against walls and scurrying around like some kind of insect…. until he’d finally found a room he thought was unoccupied and he succumbed to the pressure and began to break down in tears.
He knew a day like this would come… and now it had.
Luca looked around the metal box home. Luca was fascinated, all these little objects serving to be bigger objects… it was so surreal, especially at the size he was.
He then realized how hungry he was when Patches had asked him if he wanted anything. When you were just turned small, you burnt up a lot of the past energy you had. Luca hated asking for stuff, but really… did he have much of a choice otherwise?
“D-do you have anything to eat right now?” he asked, modestly. “M-maybe something small?”
“Yeah I have a few things you can munch on.”
Before he could open the box though he noticed his lil moth friend giving him the intent eyes. Patches sighed as he opened it up and started to look though it.
“Alright Mothra you can have another one- swear you’re going to go through it all in one day.”
The ice box didn’t have much left in it- seems like Patches would have to go borrowing again the next night to pick up food. Though he did have a sizable sugar cookie crumb from the night before. Patches was saving it for himself but it would be better to give it up. The doctor pulled out the crumb and also scooped a hand of honey that was pooled in the corner. His head came out of the box as the moth as flicking it’s wings excitedly. Patches laughed as he held out his hand with the honey dew that didn’t last long as the bug scarfed it down.
Once that was over Patched walked over to the child and handed him the chuck that was a little more than a whole hand big.
“This should do the trick.”
Right after Patches went over to a fish hook that was glued on the wall and unbuttoned his lab coat to set it up.
“So, how did you find yourself here Luca?”
