He couldn’t help but feel a swell of pride when his business was complimented. It was what all of his work and effort went to. “Yes, of course, dear. I would hardly have promised you something that I didn’t truly mean.” Coming from a planet of mind readers, saying anything but what you meant was a strange concept to him. “It isn’t as if you take up much space at any rate.”

“Haha- well I am pretty good at not being noticed. It’s like you don’t even know i’m there.” He chuckled a small sad laugh before clearing his throat and putting a hand behind his back so he would have his back up strait. “Though I would like to ask if there is anything I could do in return. For giving me a place is nice and all I would very much like to repay you in someway..” Patches was coming up a few ideas in his head, of course he was a certificated doctor and part time scientist.

🐜 ((TINY ADVENTURES))

Luca wasn’t really sure how, why or what had happened, all he knew now was that he was very small, well, smaller than he already was anyway. Only about three inches tall, in the walls of a place that rumbled and quaked with footsteps of… what Luca guessed were giants.

He wandered around this place, trying not to be seen, or crushed for that matter, scooting up against walls and scurrying around like some kind of insect…. until he’d finally found a room he thought was unoccupied and he succumbed to the pressure and began to break down in tears.

He knew a day like this would come… and now it had.

A lone moth fluttered in a circle above the child- watching intently before swooping behind a chair away from them to land on the shoulder of a small medic who was shuffling some ripped pieces of paper to use as note so he was prepared to do more experimental testing. Though he perked up when his friend was nudging his cheek. Patches chuckled as he was trying to scratch underneath it’s head- but it flew off and was circling around Patches. “What the- is there something you want to show me?” The medic put down the papers and briskly followed the moth as it urgently traced a path to where there was a crying child.

The doctor gasped with a hand when he emerged from behind a chair leg. Sure there was some mercs who were small like him but never a child or a civilian for that matter. He wasn’t exactly sure how to deal with a situation like this but- he couldn’t help feel sympathy. Slowly, Patches walked up in front of them and bent his knees down with his hands resting on them.

“Hey- are you okay little one?”

corporate-giant:

“Why thank you. I’m very glad you think so.” He smiled, genuinely happy that his guest thought he was nice. “This place is my factory. I own a business selling home goods and this is where we make them,” he explained.

“Ooh- that’s actually really productive. I guess you’ve made quite the success for yourself.” A little congratulatory grin couldn’t be helped- though he couldn’t wonder if it was either he was a giant or his telepathy or even just because Gifre was just a swell guy. Patches was already finished with his coffee- being a fast eater and all. He set down his cap lightly. “So is it really okay for me to stick around here for a while?”

“It’s quite alright. I’ve never been one to blame anyone for their thoughts.“ Not to mention he was used to people having less than trusthworthy thoughts about him, both when they saw his size and then when they found out about his ability to read minds. Humans seemed to be a very private people. “You’re very welcome. If there’s anything else I can do for you, don’t hesitate to think~” He chuckled a bit at his own joke.

A thing happened that Patches doesn’t do very often. He let out a light chuckle that sounded soft and reserved. Patches had a hand lay of his mouth with his eyes closed.  “I’ll be sure too- You’re really nice mr.Gifre.” Patches sat back down, calmed down agian as he took the coffee he had as was drinking it as his eyes looked around. “What is this place for anyways?”
