Yes, of course. It’s been quite awhile since last I saw you and I wished to know how you were doing. I will admit to being a bit worried given the way you’ve described people treating you. But moreover, I also find you to be very pleasant company.

He noticed the dog in the background and frowned. That was concerning. Is it possible for you to come out the window, dear?

He was tearing up a bit that someone actually thought about his existence and actually visited him. His head however went through waves of happy emotions. It was like his thoughts were squealing in happiness.  Patches obviously didn’t have that much control of his brain as he realized his head was a mess, trying to form coherent thoughts. The little man tried pushing the window open but he was too weak to push all that glass. making small grunts. I can’t push it open!

corporate-giant:

The message was received though he found Patches attempts to think loudly to be amusing. Why, I’ve come to see you, of course! he thought back to him cheerily. A purple eye replaced the finger at the window and even though you couldn’t see his mouth currently you could tell from that eye that he was smiling. I must say, you’re rather difficult to find.

The little guy was startled from the sudden thoughts popping into his head that wasn’t his own. Though he tried to adjust- trying to clear his head so all those whispering anxieties stop filling his head for a moment. He pointed at himself with question as he made eye contact with the giant eye staring down at him. Smiling a little. Re-really? You came to see me?

The dog was still barking hopping up and down- one could see it’s head when it jumped. It wanted his chew toy back.

corporate-giant:

He finally found sign of Patches in the form of his thoughts, only to find that he seemed to be in danger. He knelt and looked in the nearby windows, eventually finding the one that Patches was in front of. As lightly as was possible for him, he tapped on the window, hoping to get the medic’s attention. Not that that would be hard, he probably had the whole base’s attention at this point. “Dear Patches, are you alright?”

He was taking a breather from running and wondered how he could escape from the still barking dog. However he suddenly felt huge vibrations coming from the glass. Patches squeaked and backed away- seeing a familiar large hand. At first he couldn’t believe who he was seeing but then got excited with a smile.

Instead of yelling so he wouldn’t cause the dog to try to get him- he put two fingers on his forehead and tried to think loudly…uh…or at least tried to. Remembering that the giant could read thoughts.’Gifre?! What are you doing here?’

Was he shrinking? Now Dark could have been honest, could have assured him that no, he wasn’t shrinking, he just held he ability to adjust his own size in his world, but since when was Dark honest? Or compassionate for that matter?

Instead, he pretended to look concerned, looking at Patches like he was trying to tell whether he looked smaller. “You look smaller than when you first came in,” he observed, which was technically true even though it was because Dark’s perspective had changed. He then caused both himself and the table to become larger, knocking Patches down another inch.

“Oh,” he said in mock surprise, “You just got even smaller.”

Now it’s the time to panic.

Patches squealed as he crawled backwards- hyperventilating as he thought he got even smaller. His anxiety ate the lie up as he actually started to tear up from fear. The little doctor wanted to be back home immediately as he didn’t know how much he was going to shrink. It could only be a few inches or….out of existence.

“I-I have to go home right now! Please!” He started to beg, obviously not wanting to be here in the dark void before he could possibly disappear from reality.

@askborrowermedic

Gifre was wondering how Patches was doing, but trying to find someone who was only a quarter inch tall from your perspective was no easy task. The alien was currently stepping around the base, looking everywhere and speaking in a hushed tone. “Patches?”

“AaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-”

“BARK BARK BARK”

The scared borrower sharply turned a corner as they sprinted away from the horrific beast that was chasing him down. That monster was a chubby doxton borking at him while chasing the little medic. The little guy grabbed onto a table leg and climbed it right before the dog was able to get to him. It barked and growled at Patches as he got on top of the table. Having to breathe heavily as he placed a hand on a near by window. He couldnt hop out of it due to being on the second floor. Thinking he was an idiot for trying to borrow fur off of a sleeping dog.
