Today was the day that Patches was supposed to come over for dinner, too bad things were about to get a lot more complicated. Host was in the kitchen preparing when he started to feel very strange. There was a distinct sense of vertigo like he was riding an elevator. When it stopped, he knew something was wrong.
He reached for the table heâd been standing in front of previously but found nothing there and began to panic. He started to move around and bumped into a some sort of wooden post which was not a thing he had in his home previously. âTh-the Host feels the strange post, which was actually-â He stopped short, realization dawning on him. Oh no.
âPatches is walking through the cold for the Hostâs sake. The least he could do is share his coat.â He couldnât just wear his coat while Patches had none when he was the reason they were out here in the first place. If it wasnât for this mysterious shrinking problem theyâd both be warm in his library right now.
Their cheeks were flushing again despite Patches wishes to be discrete. His voice as a bit stuttery as they continued onward. Leaning in closer to Host so he wouldnât get too cold without his coat. It would be very noticeable that his body temperature was starting to rise again. During their adventure through the forest there was a stream of lights that slowly morphed into a metal fence with lamps hanged on the top. They made it to Coldfront.
Being as small as they were- Patches simply showed Host how to get past it. The small doctor let go for a moment and slipped through one of the holes.
