He felt Patches grab onto his hand and smiled. He couldn’t help it. The enthusiasm was contagious. “The Host is glad that Patches is happy,” he said, picking him up and setting him on the nightstand so he could get his glasses back. He didn’t want to try to pick them up himself, afraid he’d break them.

They didn’t even mind being picked up, he was being extremely jittery in his hands from happiness as their legs were kicking the air. Once set on the end table he crouched down and started to patt around for his glasses. “I am going to stash away so much sugary stuff when I get home!” He looked up a smile in awe. “No more trees.” Patches then felt his extremely expensive glasses and put them on with a goof of a grin. “I-I am just so happy it wore off. I don’t think I can thank you enough for what’ve done for me.”

He froze when he heard the squeak, realizing that the bump was Patches. Finding him was a good first step, now they just had to get him out of the massive sheets.

“The Host advises Patches to remain where he is.” He cupped his hands around him, just to be sure, then started to narrate.

“The library and all of it’s contents returned to their original size, as if nothing had happened.”

The bed shrank underneath them, and once it had he was able to just stand off the bed and pull the sheet back, revealing Patches sitting there.

A bright light flashed and Patches had to close his eyes for a moment before he squinted. The big tan blur in front of him confirmed that he was indeed small again. Patches couldn’t have smiled wider that day as his tiny hands shook in excitement.

“I can’t believe it I’m small again!! Jag är glad!“ He yelled in pure joy as he stood up and rushed to the closest skin colored thing and gave it a hug- assuming it’s Host’s finger.

“Thank you so much!!”

He watched Patches pinch himself and it was pretty obvious what he was doing. “This is not a dream. All of this is very very real.“ He allowed the forest to crumble away, back to the black space. “You’re in my world now.”

“I-I don’t really want to be in another world!” He yelped seeing the scenery decay. Patches wanted out of there asap but he had no idea what to do or how to get out of this mess. “Ple-please understand little guys like me don’t feel safe in strangers homes.”
