golden-gaze:

There was no way he could keep up with him on foot if he walked away, so at first it seemed like Patches’ idea to just leave was going to work. After all, it’d be pretty silly of Derian to run after him.

But it was a good thing he didn’t have to do that.

Patches would be in for quite a surprise as Derian suddenly turned into a cloud of blue mist, floating up near his head. “Don’t think it’ll be that easy to get away from me,” the cloud spoke.

The penny dropped.

“……aaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!”

Now that was a loud scream that made birds around them fly out of the trees and scatter as he backed up away from the mist in a horrific stare as he crushed a couple small trees behind him.

“Wha…what are you!?”

golden-gaze:

He raised an eyebrow skeptically, but of course he still had that stupid smug smile on his face that he always seemed to have when interacting with Patches, like he never took him seriously.

“And I’m just supposed to take your word for it, huh?”

“….hopefully?” He had a small- fake grin that was more so try being ‘cute’ or persuading them hopelessly to not put them in the cage. The moth yanked on his bottom shirt even more to try to get him to move.

golden-gaze:

He continued to approach, feeling a thrill from seeing the giant backing away from him. He’d had a lot of people beg him to stay away but never someone this much larger than himself.

“Look at you. You’re so big but you have no idea what to do with yourself. I bet you don’t even trust yourself not to accidentally crush me. You have no control. You’re just as helpless as when you were small.”

Why did it feel like this abusive person had the upper hand? In Fact he did think on it- he was right. He didn’t trust himself but…at the same time he thought that maybe he had the power to leave.  Once they were only a mere meter away from him he stood up to his feet, still crying but tried to have some composure as he wiped his face.

“I’m n-not going to hurt you…but it doesn’t mean I have to listen to you taunting me either! I’m leaving!”

He then turned around.

golden-gaze:

It didn’t really matter to Derian either why he was agreeing. Agreeing just because he was scared of him was just fine with him.

He turned back to the table after he’d cleaned everything up, one hand on his hip. “So what’re we going to do with you?” He glanced around, as if trying to make a decision. “What do you think? A nice cage?”

Oh dear god no.

He shook his head repeatedly so fast he almost got whiplash. “No cages!! Please i’ll be fine roaming around..” Patches did not want to be locked in a cage- already having to suffer through that once.

golden-gaze:

He smirked. Watching a giant scream at the sight of him was highly amusing. He walked towards him, a lot less scared this time especially now that he knew what impact his words had on him. Patches wouldn’t hurt him, he had too much guilt to do that. Plus he dared him to try anything now that they were alone.

“I just wanted to check on you~ You seemed pretty upset~” His words sounded more like mocking than anything with genuine intent. Plus he was grinning the whole time.

Patches could pick up that he wasn’t trying to be kind or anything else from his demeanor and that damned smile. He couldn’t believe he’d have to deal with this man again and it was all his fault for trying to…. well he couldn’t even remember a good reason he was just so angry.

The doctor tried to scoot away from them- putting his hands in the front of him in fear of doing something else. “N-nej! Please stay away from me i’m dangerous!”

“I wasn’t going to charge you for anything. Don’t fret.. And besides, I wouldn’t expect you to have to cough anything up.” She hadn’t told him this before, but at one point in her life, she too had been in that circumstance.

Granted she wasn’t a small sized person, but she knew the hardship.

“And besides, mate’s rates.” She added with a wink.

“Oh geeze- Thanks!”

The small doctor squeaked with a grin. He actually always wondered what would happen if he drank alcohol. Though he couldn’t make it to the bar from where he was so he just kept leaning outwards to them. “Uh…Could I have something light?”
