“It’s very blurry but I do remember something about sprouting wings and flying above the clouds for the duration of it…I look fondly on it but it does make me feel sad that I’ve never had a dream like that since.”

Normally in deep sleep, when Mothra is out and about, Patches will start hugging the kick sack which he uses as a pillow. It’s how he finds comfort unconsciously.

Luca wasn’t quite sure how he found himself here, but he wanted out. He’d wound up here one way or another in the middle of some kind of war between factions. Luca had been lucky enough to escape the crossfire and sneak off into one of the nearby buildings that were quieter… and safer, although the thunder of machine guns, the roars of distant explosions and the screams and battle cries of men rang through the air as haunting vocal shrieks. This was too much like a dream. Luca wanted to LEAVE. He wanted to leave NOW…. or at the very least he wanted something to help alleviate this stress.
He scooted up against the wall, hyperventilating and crying at the same time as the walls rattled and boomed outside. He wanted to scream… but someone would hear him…..
And all this time… he’d not noticed the small holes formed by cracks in the wall.
“AAGARGH-”
A solider fell to the ground from a sniper shot. When his body hit the ground below Patches hopped right out of the pocket and ran full speed back to his base. Trying not to scream but had to navigate through a merciless battle field by hopping over rocks and sliding through the middle of peoples legs. Even if it was a regular thing for him it still is always terrifying.
When the doctor made it to a hole in the wall and slid in to hide. As Patches made his way through the crack he started to hear…crying? It wasn’t just a random cry too it sounded familiar. Was he just hearing things? He was able to get to the other end he really started to worry. The child couldn’t possibly be here again- He looked past the edge and his pupil shrunk. It was him.
“LUCA!?”
He watched with some interest as Patches did his thing. He pulled his hand back, looking it over and finding the cut completely gone without so much as a scar. “Not bad. I’m impressed. I might have to keep you around just for that.” Judging by the number of scars he had, getting into scrapes wasn’t an unusual thing for him.
“Well, that’s what everyone keeps me around for.” He outright said- not even shocked when he said he wanted to keep him. Persumeably long as he lives. Patches had twitchy hands as he tried to hold them close to his chest. “I guess there’s no point in running huh?”
“It’s 3:20,” he informed him, without referencing a watch or any other time telling device. The mention of work reminded him of what Patches had said earlier about his apparent job. “The Host wishes the borrower would receive more recognition for his work.”
“Oh! Thank you. “ Though as he was putting his coat back on- he couldn’t help but to pause when the host was voicing his concerns. He haven’t even buttoned his coat when he sighed. “Well… they are right. I can’t really do anything by myself so I can’t even use money. Heck, I don’t really do much anyways just stand next to the person and they heal.” He buttoned his coat up and gave a light- but really dead inside smile to them. “In fact I should be grateful they keep me around. I’m pretty useless.” Though he realized he was letting things slip out of his mouth. Patches covered it and shoved his gloves. “Ah! What am I saying- I just made this conversation awkward!”

He doesn’t draw or even write often as he would like considering they don’t make pencils in his size.Though he did used to write, read and even drew some art when he was in college.Though he might be pretty rusty at it.
(( *cracks knuckles* Alright I got some replies down so I’m gonna get down a couple of asks tonight. Might not get all of them done tonight but I’ll do my best!))
“Ehehe, I think when the weather stops being so unpredictable, they’ll think about bringing them back,” he said, thoughtfully rubbing at the back of his neck.
Russell watched the moth for a moment, chuckling. Misty was also watching, but she showed no signs that she wanted to try and catch the little thing.
“Ehehe, cute moth you got there,” he said then, “Seems to really like you. Ehehe, come on, it’s not any trouble, I wouldn’t have offered otherwise.”
“And I’ll make sure no one sees you. But it’s up to you really. Ehehe…”
Patches had started to already hold Mothra like a baby and petted her fur around her head. “Oh- Th-thank you! She’s my uh…pet you could say.” He smiled and looked over to the adorable giant cat. “Your companion is very…affectionate if I do say so myself.” Though he did scratch the back of his head again, thinking it over.
“Well- if you’re willing to do a favor for a man that broke into your base for a snack, sure.. just be careful. It’s all I ask for..”
