Huh…well…this certainly wasn’t his lab. This didn’t even really look like a lab period. More like a hospital. Eugh. Where the hell was he? The eldritch stepped through the portal, mostly out of sheer curiosity. He stood in the middle of the room, observing his surroundings. Wow this place looked boring.

Fetching medical supplies was easy when there would normally be no humans around. That’s why Patches chose to borrow in an abandoned hospital that night. Maybe something would turn up. Though rats and bugs were not the only thing Patches had to worry about. When he was pulling up a small roll of medical tape in the ward- a bright green light flashed and he bolted when a strange figure stepped out of the portal. They hadn’t seem to notice him yet so he tried to slowly back away to a door which was unfortunately- half way across the room.

His fingers brushed over something soft and warm as he moved his hand around and he seized it, pulling back out from under the couch and finding a dusty, teary-eyed Patches in his hand. He merely raised an eyebrow at the sight. “You look pathetic.”

He was shivering- speechless when he was pulled from down from below. He didn’t even put up a struggle. The tears welled up in his eyes feel down his cheeks as he closed his eyes as their body went limb a bit. Though he was still having shivers he didn’t even scream or object.

“Not at all.” He reached forward slowly, carefully moving his hand and locating the medic by touch before picking him up. You could almost tell how hard he was concentrating on holding him tight enough not to drop him but not to the point where it would be uncomfortable.

He walked over to his desk, on which he laid out the book and set Patches down.

One would feel Patches being rather warm and oddly soft. Especially his clothes had the texture of a wash rag. The small doctor didn’t think he’d ever get used to someone picking him up- especially when it was mostly for malicious reasons. Patches held on a bit to the fingers but he did feel secure strangely enough. Upon being placed down he looked up at the human in awe.
“Uh..thank you. “

The Scary Medic

He stopped moving backwards when the strange animal started talking. Wait what? This isn’t how it normally works. Patches lifted an eye brow in confusion and noticed the poor thing was hurt. “Uhh. Are- are okay?” They didn’t take a step forward quite yet.

Wiggly uncovered her face she was still very scared as she stuttered a bit “M-My nose I-I think I broke it”

This was still pretty strange to Patches- someone being afraid of him. However he couldn’t ignore a plea for help.  Even at six inches he still had an oath to follow. Patches shuffled over to the creature and immediately his healing aura was going into effect. “Can I see it? I promise I won’t hurt you.”

guestsinhisworld:

“Of course.” As if opening a book was any trouble. However, their current positions were awkward, Host was partially hunched over to address Patches and there wasn’t enough space on the shelf to lay the book out flat. He hesitated a moment. “The Host wishes to know if he may… move the borrower?”

“Uuuuuh-” He looked around for a moment- realizing that the human and the book were a bit cramped in this space. Patches tugged on his collar as he gave his glaze back to the blinded host. “Uh sure- I hope you’re not prone to dropping things.”

golden-gaze:

“Gesundheit.” He shifted to try and reach further under the couch, sticking his whole arm under by this point, running his hand across the floor trying to locate the medic. “I’m not going to just leave, you know. So unless you plan on living under my couch…”

The fingers were hovering over him at this point as he sunk to the floor. The thing only had to mash his hand down to grab him. Patches grabbed his chest as the anxiety was starting to physically hurt him. Tears went down his face as he realized no one would know that he would disappear. Even if those nice people he talked to- probably forgot about him by now as he thought it out.
