He stopped moving backwards when the strange animal started talking. Wait what? This isn’t how it normally works. Patches lifted an eye brow in confusion and noticed the poor thing was hurt. “Uhh. Are- are okay?” They didn’t take a step forward quite yet.

“You are to me,” he countered back. Naturally, Patches kicking his fingers didn’t really do a whole lot. He did enjoy the thought of how weak the medic’s attempted attacks against him were though. His anger was pretty funny too. “You’re gonna get covered in dust under there.”

“I don’t ca-ahAH A- choo!” It was a sneeze comparable to a kitten. The doctor rubbed his nose as he curled up, trying to stay as far away and unreachable as possible. Away from that human- no. Monster! Patches gripped his head with his knees to his chest. “Just- leave me alone!!”

“The Host noticed the borrower was looking through the medical section. This is his personal favorite on the subject.” Yes, his library was not only organized by subject matter, but he pretty much had the whole thing memorized.

His head cocked to the side a bit until actually stepping on the book a little bit to actually get the cover. Nodding a bit- “This..actually looks interesting.” Patches looked up at the strange man talking about himself in third person. “I don’t want to be a bother but uh…could you help me open it?”

Wiggly walked cautiously through the grounds of the RED base she knew this place was dangerous all sorts of deadly assassins live round here she heard of them one that made her blood run cold was called the Medic if she remembered that right what is heard was they were crazy doctors that like to experiment on others some don’t survive this others that do are not the same afterwards

So when she saw movement in the corner of her eye she started to shake her heart beating fast as she quicken her pace only to trip up and fall down hard on the ground a pain shot through her nose touching it made it worse she whimpered her nose was broke it couldn’t get worse she thought until she saw the figure froze before her her blood ran cold

He was frozen there- in the shadows. It was supposed to be just a simple run for food. But what he saw suddenly slamming in the front of him. Never seeing a creature this bizarre before he was shaking in his boots. Frozen in fear until he slowly started to back up- not sure he could even out run that thing. In fact lit almost looked like he was about to break out in tears.

He smiled softly at Patches’ words. “The Host doesn’t mind the company. He doesn’t get visitors often and he especially appreciates ones with an interest in books.” He held out the book he’d selected once again. “Would the borrower like Host’s help?”

“Eh heh…well um. I suppose I could use a little help.” The small man hasn’t been able to even touch a book in such a long time. So he really couldn’t refuse help into opening one of the giant things. Patches leaned over to the book to read it’s title. “What’s this?”

“Are you sure? You look like one.” Though really it was nothing personal towards Patches. Derian saw everyone that way, regardless of their size. He didn’t think much of other people. Sticking his arm under the couch, he began trying to get him out of there.

Now he was just so angry at Derian- still terrified out of his wits but just was mad he was calling him a toy. He was huffing and then the giant reached under the couch he actually started to kick his fingers, which wasn’t but it was something. Though he did make it to the other end of the couch where his head was touching the flap. “I’M NOT.”

Though he is blind, the Host knows what is happening around him and what will happen.” He drew back a bit, fiddling with the cover of the book he was holding. Though he was a writer and had plenty of experience with words, explaining his… abilities still managed to be awkward.

He was more or less stunned by the explanation that rose more questions than answers. Patches awkwardly stared at him before realizing he was standing in front of a human. “That’s…really impressive actually. Uh..” He put his fingers together. “Sorry for breaking into your library…”
